What story elements (character, plot, mood, conflict, theme, etc.) are present in this book to make it "young adult"? What intrigued you the most about this book? What will you remember most about this book?
I do not think this will become a classic because right from the beginning their is a very hard topic that is explained and I do not think every student should have to read that if it brings back bad memories or triggers them. But this book could again be almost a lesson for young girls and even guys to be aware of your surroundings. All though it might not be a classic I think people will still read it down the road.

The Lovely Bones was an inspiring story and it was really well written but I don't think it has the components in it to be considered a classic. People will definitely still be reading and talking about this book but a lot of books talk about rape and murder. I would recommend this book to others and I think that this book will still be popular in years to come.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that the book The Lovely Bones will be considered a classic in 100 years. I do think that it is a very good and valuable story but just not enough to be a classic. I do think it has a good message but it is also a message that so many girls hear all the time and is nothing new. The lovely bones is a good book and should be popular just not a classic.
ReplyDeleteIn 100 years, I don't think this book will be considered a classic. Even though it is an important message, I feel like there are many other books that discuss the same topics. For a book to be considered a classic, it should stand out compared to other books. Overall, the Lovely Bones is a great book but won't be a classic in 100 years.
ReplyDeleteIn 100 years, I believe that the book The Lovely Bones will not be considered as a classic book. The book had an important theme, topic, and message for young girls to not trust strangers even if they are your neighbor and you know them. There are a lot of people that are starting to become authors where they will write about similar topics and there are multiple books that talk about this topic to this day. A book to even be considered a classic, the author who writes the book should not have to compete or compare their book to other books on who has the better topic or the same topic. The Lovely Bones is a good book that might be popular someday but it should not be considered as a classic.
